Lab Team

Yuanyuan Jiang is an Assistant Professor in the School of Counselling, Psychotherapy, and Spirituality at Saint Paul University. She is a Registered Clinical Psychologist and directs the ABC lab. Outside of work, she enjoys running, eating, and spending time with family.

Mikaela is a research assistant with a strong interest in feminist theory, Indigenous mental health, and somatic therapy. She holds a BA in Psychology with a minor in Feminist Studies from the University of Ottawa and is currently pursuing an MA in Counselling and Spirituality at Saint Paul University. Mikaela brings a passion for integrative and holistic approaches to mental health, informed by her academic background and lived experiences. Outside of her research, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones, practicing yoga, reading fiction, and exploring local thrift shops.

Candice is a second-year MA student in the Counselling and Spirituality program at Saint Paul University. Candice's research interest is in how adults with ADHD experience intimacy, relationships and sexual well-being. In her free time, she likes reading, exercising, cooking, and socializing.

Samrah holds a BSc in Psychology and is currently pursuing an MA in Counselling and Spirituality at Saint Paul University. With previous experience as an instructor therapist, Samrah has worked closely with neurodivergent individuals and their families. She draws on this work in her current research, which focuses on the co-occurrence of Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD, exploring psychotherapeutic treatment and sources of resilience among those with lived experience. Outside of her academic work, Samrah enjoys being in nature, trying out new cafes, exercising, painting and spending time with friends and family. 

Emily is a third year Honours Psychology student at the University of British Columbia, minoring in Education (Interpersonal Development). Emily is currently exploring the impacts of parental emotional regulation on childhood development. In her free time, Emily enjoys hanging out with her cat, crocheting, and reading romance novels!
